Program Overview
Keynote
In celebration of our 25th anniversary, the Center on Disabilities is pleased to announce Captain Ivan Castro will convene the opening of the conference as the Keynote Speaker. Captain Castro is one of three blind officers serving in the active-duty Army and the only blind officer serving in the U.S. Army Special Forces.
While serving in Iraq, Captain Castro lost his eyesight and received extensive physical injuries when a mortar round exploded close to him. Although doctors believed that he would die as a result of his wounds, Castro proved them wrong. While in the hospital, he overheard a conversation about the next Army Ten-Miler and the Marine Corps Marathon. Castro made it his goal to run in both marathons and achieved his goal following 17 months of recovery and rehabilitation.
Captain Ivan Castro’s mission is pushing the limits, maintaining independence and advocating for the blind. Please join us on Tuesday, March 23 at 5:30 pm when Captain Castro opens the 25th Annual Technology and Persons with Disabilities Conference with his inspiring and amazing Keynote Address.

Pre-Conference Workshops
Full-Day and Half-Day Pre-Conference Workshops will be offered on Monday, March 22, 2010 and Tuesday, March 23, 2010. These workshops are designed to give in-depth training on specific topics. Exhibits
The exhibit hall will be open Wednesday, March 24, 2010 through Saturday, March 27, 2010. The Exhibit Hall is FREE and the hours are as follows:

- Thursday, March 25, 9:30 AM - 5:00 PM
- Friday, March 26, 9:30 AM - 5:00 PM
- Saturday, March 27, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
You must register to attend the FREE Exhibit Hall. Please register and select “Exhibit Hall Only” if you are only visiting the exhibitors.
You may also complete the Exhibit Hall Pass and present it at the Registration area at the entrance of the Exhibit Hall.
